Serving with Sikh Spirit: Equality and Compassion in Action
Welcome to Sarbat Da Bhala, a compassionate NGO deeply rooted in Sikh values and guided by the wisdom of Guru Granth Sahib. Our mission is driven by the core belief of ‘Sarbat Da Bhala’—the well-being of all. With reverence for Sikhism’s teachings, we dedicate ourselves to serving the homeless with a variety of nutritious meals and warm clothing, especially during the unforgiving winter months.
Derived from the spiritual wisdom of Guru Granth Sahib, our inspiration is drawn from the principles of selfless service, equality, and compassion. In the spirit of ‘Langar,’ a tradition of community kitchens in Sikhism, we strive to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry or feels the chill of winter without warmth.
Caring Cuisine, Warmth in Action: Embracing Sikh Values at Sarbat Da Bhala
At Sarbat Da Bhala, we embrace the diversity of all varieties of food to nourish both body and soul. Our volunteers work tirelessly to prepare and distribute wholesome meals, offering a taste of kindness to those in need. Additionally, recognizing the significance of ‘Seva’ (selfless service), we provide warm clothes and blankets to shield our homeless brothers and sisters from the biting cold
As we extend our care, our commitment is a reflection of Sikh values that emphasize the oneness of humanity. We invite you to explore our website, where you’ll discover more about our initiatives, the impact of Sikhism on our work, and how you can contribute to our mission.
